Seeking Above Average, Tough Mechanics for a unique and exciting opportunity!
Due to customer demand, we are in the process of expanding our successful fleet service operation into 2nd and 3rd shifts. Our intention is to eventually keep our location open 24/6 while remaining available for emergencies only on Sundays. We are looking for a experienced mechanics to help us get this new concept up and running. The right individual for this position will need to be capable of working independently with minimal supervision, be motivated to find and start projects, and be extremely motivated to see all projects through to completion. We need someone who will go above and beyond to make sure our customers are completely satisfied and trucks are fixed in a manner that exceeds their expectations. What we need from you:
Have a good attitude and be willing to try anything. I tell my mechanics that if we don’t fix it then somebody else will. You will know how to properly diagnose and fix stuff right the first time. Our customers are the judge of how good you are. We need technicians with a good balance of confidence and humility. We need our technicians to know what they are good at, know their weaknesses, and be able to accept help, coaching, and take advise. I promise you; Road Warrior has your back. We provide a safe place to learn and grow. We don’t expect you to know everything and don’t appreciate anyone that acts like they do. Huge egos, arrogance, ignorance, and refusing to take advice from senior technicians are the main reasons for technician turnover. Two important things to hear my technicians say are as follows:
1. I don’t know.
2. I screwed up.
“I don’t know” can be taught, “I screwed up” can be fixed. Pretending you know everything and sweeping problems under the rug is unacceptable.
Be Tough
I can’t stress this enough. We service our customer’s trucks in their parking lots and on the side of the road. Roads and parking lots are outside. We work outside year-round and need technicians with a lumberjack mindset, not people that want to sit in front of a heater or air conditioner and play on their phones all day. If you can’t handle working outside this is not the job for you.
Trucks are on the road around the clock, 24/7 365 days a year. We jump and run anytime, anywhere for our customers. We refuse to be any less than the best shop they can find. I expect perfection from my crew, but I will settle for excellence. You will not be expected to be on call every day, but you will be expected to contribute to the other technicians on your team by taking your turn when the time comes. This means working long hours when needed, getting up early in the morning or in the middle of the night and doing your part to keep this portion of our business thriving. We all do our part in this area. The more we grow, the less time everyone must sacrifice. I did road service 24/7 for a decade and survived. I also built my reputation and company on this platform. We now have a team of technicians, they are only on call 1-3 times per week on average. Once again, be tough. I can’t stress this enough. If you can’t man up and do your part in this regard this is not the job for you.

Road Warrior is an aggressively growing company specializing in on-site mechanical services. We are seeking experienced and self-motivated mechanics to join both our Muncie and Indianapolis teams to work 2nd shift. We specialize in mobile and shop maintenance and repairs, and we have been in business for over 16 years. We work on a wide variety of heavy truck, trailer, and medium duty fleets.

We are looking to add experienced Field Service Technicians to our team of professionals. The ideal candidate will have a minimum 5 of experience working on light, medium, and/or heavy trucks and trailers.

Pay: $30.00 - $50.00 per hour (Based on Experience)

Requirements
Ability to work on light, medium, and heavy trucks and trailers
Previous diagnostics and repair experience
Welding experience and fabrication experience
Own tools with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
CDL preferred, but not required

Read manufacturer's drawings and manuals
Basic computer and internet literacy
Operate a variety of hand, power, and shop tools
Front counter work with customers, including payment collection

Drive manual transmission vehicles
Use computer diagnostic equipment
Shift:
Mainly Monday-Friday/Saturday hours available as well
8-10 hour shifts between the hours of 3:00PM -7:00AM, we will work with you to create a flexible schedule!
Overtime paid for all time worked weekly over 40 hours
On-Call for emergencies
Drug free individuals with a clean driving record and limited criminal history are encouraged to apply.
